Asia, a Doctor in Medicine with a specialization in Hematopathology from Jordan, has extensive experience in managing operational departments within laboratory settings.

Recently, she served as the Director of the Jordan Ministry of Health's Central Laboratory, where she oversaw the management of the COVID-19 outbreak. Following that, she took charge of the National Blood Bank at the Ministry of Health of Jordan.

Moreover, Asia has made substantial contributions to public health through the establishment of the National Neonatal Screening Program and the improvement of pre-marital screening processes. She also possesses considerable experience in Quality Management within healthcare organizations.

She serves on the board of the Princess Haya Biotechnology Center, which specializes in genetic analysis and genomic sequencing.
